So, You Want to Stop Snoring

It’s really a bit ironic, don’t you think? You get to sleep through your bouts of snoring while your partner is losing all the sleep. Do you know of any other affliction that allows the person suffering the problem to not be the one the affliction affects? If you truly care about your partner, you’ll find a way to stop your snoring. With that in mind, lets see if we can discover how to prevent snoring.

Always sleep on your side or stomach if possible, not on your back. You snore because when you fall asleep, the muscles on the back of your throat relax and obstruct your airway. Sleeping on your back only increases the obstruction.

Many people have found relief in the form of a snoring sprays that are widely available. For best results, use a spray designed to stop your throat muscles from relaxing and blocking your breathing.

It could also be that you are overweight, and that is the reason you snore. The extra fatty tissue in the throat of overweight people only adds to the problem. If you’ll lose the extra weight, your snoring may just go away on it’s own.

Remember, too, that drinking alcohol before bed, taking cough or sinus medicine, and even smoking can also contribute to snoring. Anything that can relax your muscles can cause your snoring to be worse.
