Astral Projecting – A Beginners Guide

There are a number of challenges to learning astral projection. The first step is to realize that this is something that all of us have the ability to do. This isn\’t something which has to be forced; it\’s a capacity which all of us already possess, much like riding a bike. You never forget how to do these things; you just need to keep in practice. One major stumbling block that many people encounter is relaxation. To astral project the mind and the body have to be deeply relaxed. This can take some practice, but there are many relaxation techniques that you can employ to help your mind and body relax. There are breathing techniques and muscle relaxation techniques that you can try.

Obviously, youll have a much easier time astral projecting if you are doing this in a relaxed environment. Follow these tips to get relaxed and have the best chance of success as you prepare to astral project.

*Youll want to remove jewelry and any constricting clothing. Some find that taking off their clothes off helps, but there is no hard and fast rule about this.

*Make sure that the room you are going to relax in and practice your astral projecting is dark. Dark enough so that light can not be seen through your eyelids, but you shouldnt turn off all the lights.

*With your head pointed north, lie down along a north-south axis. This should be easy to figure out with the sun rising in the east and setting in the west. So if our of your bedroom window you can see the sunset that means you need to be laying along the window, not with your head or feet pointing towards the window.

*While astral projecting, you want any clothes you wear to be comfortable and loose, while still keeping warm.

*Make sure that you have a place which is quiet and where you will not be distracted as you practice your astral projecting.

*Practice your relaxation techniques. You need to be totally relaxed in order to astral project.

*Begin by giving yourself some suggestions which will help you remember what happens as you astral project. You may want to keep a pen and some paper close at hand so that you can take notes on your astral projection as soon as you finish. Be sure to tell yourself before you begin I will remember. Do this at least five times.

*Continue to practice your breathing.

*As you are using your breathing techniques and beginning to relax, concentrate on the blackness ahead of you.

*Next, concentrate on a point about one foot away from your forehead. Once you manage to do this, switch your focus to a point about six feet away.

*After this, think of a line which runs perpendicular to your body from your focal point six feet away.

To prepare yourself for astral projecting, just follow these simple. It is important that we note that you also have to have mental control of what you are going to do. You dont want your astral body to just go out and bounce through the astral planes with no direction. You can go anywhere, do anything so it is important that you have direction.

There are some astral projecting practitioners that are able to talk with loved ones they have lost. There are others that take part in activities that they are not able to do in the physical realm of reality. Contrary to what you may think, you have done this already. Now you need to have control over what is happening. Those dreams that you wake up and remember really well were actually astral traveling. Now it is time for you to learn to do it intentionally to reap the benefits of what astral projecting can do for you.
